The limping childDepartment of Orthopaedic Surgery, The Childrens Hospital at Westmead, Sydney, Australia, paulg2{at}chw.edu.au A limp suggests an underlying pathology causing the abnormal gait pattern. There is a long list of possible causes. The challenge for the physician is to identify the cause and act accordingly. The purpose of this article is to instruct on the assessment of a child with a limp.
